This mumbaiya roadside treat dosent need any introduction. People of all age groups  are a fan of this whenever they go out on roads to satisfy their sweet sour tangy taste buds. The divine combination of crispy thin puri s with hot and sweet water and the spicy green water gives the best feeling in every serving you have. This recipe never failed to satisfy my cravings … hope it dosent fail for you too. Do try out my recipe and let me know how u like it.

INGREDIENTS

🔺FOR FILLING
1. Boiled and chopped potatoes 2 large
2. Chick peas Channas boiled 1/2cup
3. Salt and red chilly powder 1/4tsp

🔺FOR SPICY PUDINA WATER

1. Mint leaves 25grams 1 bunch
2. Freshly chopped coriander 1/2 cup
3. Green chilly 1
4. Juice if 1 lemon 2tbsp approx
5. Roasted cumin seed 1tsp
6. Black peppercorns 7 to 8
7. Fennel seeds 1/2tsp

🔺TO TOP
Some besan boondi

🔺DATE AND tamarind chutney
1. Dates 1 Cup deseeded
2. Tamarind 1/2cup
3. Red chilly powder 1tsp
4. Sugar 1 Cup
5. Salt to taste
6. 2 cup water

PROCEDURE

1. FOR GREEN WATER
🔸 In a mixer blend all ingredients with 2 cups water and blend till fine consistency
🔸now strain the mixture and discard the left over pulp
🔸chill this water for further use

2. FOR FILLING
Mix together boiled Channas and boiled chopped potatoes along with salt and red chilly powder

3. FOR SWEET CHUTNEY

🔸bring tamarind dates salt red chilly powder sugar and 2 cup water in a vessel and bring it to boil then cook on slow flame till everything comes together for 15 mins
🔸let this mixture cool down put in mixer and blend till it’s of fine consistency

🔺FOR ASSEMBLING
1. Put boondi s in green water
2. Take one puri and make a hole in between with soft finger
3. Add little of the potatoe Chan a mixture then add sweet water and spicy green water and put this heavenly piece in your mouth and let me know how u like it.
